HAWTHORNE -- Betty Jean Wheeler, 45, died Saturday in a vehicle accident near Walker Lake.
A native of Judsonia, Ark., she was born April 15, 1938. She lived in Hawthorne for 30 years before moving to Sparks nine years ago.
She was a member of the Rebeccah Lodge Esther 9, Sparks, and Pink Ladies at Saint Mary's Hospital.
Surviving are her husband, Donald, and daughters, Pamela and Alaina Wheeler, all of Sparks; son, Ronald and daughter, Diana Kellog, both of Sun Valley; sister, Frances Curtis and parents, James and Judy Redmon (sic), all of Hawthorne; brother, Philip Redmond (sic) of Davenport, Iowa; and one grandchild.
A funeral is scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday at the Hawthorne Funeral Home.
Burial will be in the Hawthorne Cemetery.
A memorial is being established with the American Heart Association, 1135 Terminal Way, Suite 105, Reno, 89502.
