Ruth Ann Wiedemann, age 79, of Mesquite, Texas, passed away April 9, 2011, in Mesquite. Ruth was born September 4, 1931, in Rockford, Illinois, to Harry and Irene (Parson) Johnson. She married Jerry Eugene Wiedemann in Rockford, Illinois. Ruth was a pioneer for children with learning disabilities. She was of the Episcopalian faith. She is survived by her sons, Robert Wiedemann and wife, Ann of Grandview, Texas, John Wiedemann and Shalene Hogan of Rowlett, Texas, and Jeff Wiedemann and wife, Nora of The Colony, Texas; daughter-in-law, Diane Wiedemann of Sewanee, Tennessee; thirteen grandchildren; four great-granddaughters; and sister, Helen Hoops and husband, Richard of Muncie, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son, William Wiedemann. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 14, 2011, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
