Anselm B. Hackman 55, well known Decatur resident and General Electric employee, died of a heart attack at his home around 6:30pm while sitting in a chair at his residents at 226 N. 9th street. Mr. Hackman suffered a heart ailment several months ago and had not been able to return to work following th G.E. vacation period.

Born in Adams county January 18, 1898, Mr. Hackman was the son of Bernard and Mary (Spuller) Hackman. He was a member st. Mary's Catholic church, Knights of Columbus and the Moose Lodge.

Surviving besides his wife, Christina are a daughter, Mrs. Raymond Meyer and six sons, Loe, Patrick, Anlsem (Jack), Edward, and James all of Decatur and Alvin at home. One son is deceased. Eleven grandchildren servive.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 9:00am at St. MAry's Catholic church in Decatur and burial will be at the Catholic cemetery.
