Evelyn Register Balliew, 87, widow of Virgil Lee Balliew, Sr., died April 10, 2011 at Bayberry Retirement Inn.

A native of Greenville County, daughter of the late Harry Register and Eva Parker Olson, she was a homemaker and a member of Double Springs Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son, Virgil (Buddy) Balliew, Jr. and his wife, Mary of Taylors; a half-brother, Gary Register; two grandchildren, Travis Balliew and his wife, Shawnda and Jeremy Balliew and his wife, Kari; and three great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Isabella, and Evan.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Double Springs Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Thomas Riddle. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held 9:45-10:45 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

The family is at the home of her son, Buddy Balliew, 27 W. McElhaney Road, Taylors, SC 29687.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Double Springs Baptist Church Youth Department, 3800 Locust Hill Road, Taylors, SC 29687.
