Mr. Ralph Derrell Morris, 85 of Blackshear, passed away late Wednesday evening, October 31, 2012, at the Pierce County Nursing Home.

Born in Odum, GA on December 18, 1926, he had lived in Atlanta for many years before moving to Patterson in the late ‘90's. Mr. Morris was a World War II veteran and was a retired Real Estate Broker. He was a member of Patterson United Methodist Church and loved remodeling homes, gardening and social events.

Mr. Morris was a son of the late Ralph Howard & Nora Lee Morris. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Lee Ester McMillan, and two brothers, Julian Jehu Morris and Wilfred Morris.

Survivors include two sisters and a brother-in-law, Norene Morris Dukes of Augusta and Fern & Ed Riddle of Baxley; a brother, Ellis Morris of Blackshear; and several nieces, nephews & other relatives.

Memorials may be made to the Patterson United Methodist Church, PO Box 8, Patterson, GA 31557.

A private service will be held at a later date.
