Yancey D. Easthom, 38, of Ravenswood departed this world on March 28, 2011 at his Flatwoods Road home in Cottageville.

Yancey was born January 7, 1973 in Parkersburg, the son of Pat and Pete Easthom of Ravenswood. He was a graduate of Ravenswood High School and US Marines Corp veteran of Desert Storm.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, brother, William; and 1 sister, Kasey Mcclanahan.

Surviving are his children, Brayden Easthom and Lily Lacava Easthom; parents Pat and Pete Easthom of Ravenswood; brothers Clifford Easthom Jr of Cottageville and Chris Easthom of Ravenswood; sister Jennifer Eastom of Reedy; soul mate Megan LaCava; along with several aunts, uncles and cousins. Many friends will miss Yancey.

Funeral service was 2 p.m., Thursday, March 31, at Roush Funeral Home in Ravenswood, with Pastor Ruth Dale officiating.

Burial followed in Jackson County Memory Gardens in Cottageville, with graveside military rites provided by the Jackson County Marine Corp League.

Friends were received at the funeral home on Thursday, March 31, from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm, time of service.
