The Rolla Herald, April 19, 1951, page 2: Richard Bell dies at Nursing Home: Richard F. (Dick) Bell, born in Maries County Oct 21, 1868, died last Thursday morning at the McFarland Nursing Home at the age of 82 years. He had spent his entire life in Maries and Phelps Counties and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rolla, MO.

Surviving are: his wife, Katie Bell, 100 State Street, one son, Monroe of St. Louis, one daughter, Mrs. Ada Blackwell, Defiance, IA, one stepson, Otha Reynolds, Normandy, MO, one step-daughter, Mrs. Henry Carroll, Rolla and nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Null and Sons Chapel. The Rev. J. V. Carlisle officiated. The Burial was in the Rolla Cemetery. Pallbearers were Charles and Henry, William, Tom Bell, Ray Sauls and Bill Bartle.
