Mrs. Margaret Shea of 2115 N. Underhill St. died on her 56th birthday at 1:20 this morning in Proctor Hospital, where she was admitted 18 days ago. She was the widow of Timothy C. Shea.
A Peoria resident for 38 years, she was born on August 31, 1893 in Hamsthwaite, Yorkshire, England. A daughter of Mark and Mary Elizabeth Hainsworth Barker. Her marriage to Mr. Shea took place in Peoria on February 2, 1934. He died in Peoria on November 7, 1958. She was also married to Frank Lockwood in October 1914 in Knaresborough, Yorkshire, England. He died in Peoria on Janaury 23, 1933 in Peoria.
Surviving are six sons, Alfred Lockwood of Vero Beach, Florida, Herbert, Eric, Frank, George, and Arthur all of Peoria. two daughters Mrs. Mary Cotton and Mrs. Minnie Gruss both of Peoria. Three sisters, Mrs. Mary Andrew and Mrs. Hannah Barker both of Yorkshire, England and Mrs. Ethel Myers of Sydney, Australia, one brother Herbert Barker of Yorkshire, England, 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1:00 Wednesday in Wilton Mortuary 1212 SW Adams St. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday afternoon and evening at the mortuary.
