Julia Langpaul, 104, of Arlington, Neb., died Friday, May 4, 2001, at her home.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 7, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont, Neb., with the Rev. Owen Korte officiating. Burial will be in Wilber Czech Cemetery in Wilber, Neb., on Monday with the Rev. Nicholas Baker officiating. A rosary service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 6, at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington.
Mrs. Langpaul was born Jan. 29, 1897, in Bonov, Moravia, Czechoslovakia, to Frank and Frances Jelecek Baigl. On May 6, 1918, she married James Langpaul in Omaha, Neb., and he preceded her in death.
She was raised in Bonov and came to the United States at the age of 13. She lived in Clarkson, Neb., until 1912, then moved to Omaha, then to Wilber. In 1994, she moved to the Arlington area to live with her granddaughter's family.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont and a former member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Wilber.
Survivors include two daughters, Mildred Havel of Arlington, Neb., and Irene Schafer of Columbia; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the St. Patrick's Catholic Church Building Fund or to St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Wilber, Neb.
