The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Service Cross to Supply Sergeant Arthur M. Fuller (ASN: 2382833), United States Army, for extraordinary heroism in action while serving with Company C, 60th Infantry Regiment, 5th Division, A.E.F., near Cunel, France, 14 October 1918. Accompanied by one other soldier, Sergeant Fuller flanked two machine-gun nests, killed seven of the enemy, and captured four machine guns, thereby making it possible for two companies of his battalion to eater the woods and continue the advance.
