Pamela J. Day Akers, 48, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 . She was born September 14, 1962 the daughter of James and Georgia Killman Day. She was preceded in death by a sister, Tammy Sue and her mother.

She married Charles "Mike" Akers on Jan. 1, 1979 in Villa Grove, Illinois. He survives. Also surviving are two sons, Michael S. and Robert C. (Brandi) Akers, three grandchildren, two brothers, James E. Day Jr and Travis Day and two sisters, Teresa Akers and Sharon "Daphny" Miller.
