Morris Paul Hardy, Sr., 88, a resident of New Mexico since 1956, returned home Saturday, March 19, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 66 years Marian C. Hardy; children Morris Paul Hardy, Jr. and wife, Sandy, Carolyn Lee Ferguson and Jacqueline Jean Hardy; grandchildren Heather Brisman and husband, Rob, Joshua Hardy and wife, Natalie and Bobbi Jaramillo and husband, Brian; great-grandchildren Clara, Camille, Caroline, Katherine, Geddy and Sterling; sisters Elsie Mae Cody, Nadene Brown and June Fehrenbach and husband, Bob; and sister-in-law Ella Hardy. Morris was preceded in death by his great-granddaughter Amelie Hardy and son-in-law, Robert Ferguson. Mr. Hardy served in the US Navy aboard the USS Idaho during WWII. He worked at ACF and GE until he retired. Cremation has taken place and service will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2011, 3:30 p.m., at French - University Chapel. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date.
