MCKENZIE - Emory McKenzie age 82 of Alturas, Florida died Wednesday February 4, 1998 at the Lake Wales Medical Center. He was born on June 14, 1915 in Wadley, Georgia and had been a resident of Frostproff, Florida since 1980, coming here from Jacksonville, FL moving to Alturas, Florida 3 months ago. Mr. McKenzie was a retired Bus Driver for Grey Hound Bus Lines in Jacksonville, Member of First Baptist Church of Frostproff, FL, Veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Navy, Active in church affairs until his illness, Avid Boater and Fisherman. Mr. McKenzie is survived by his wife Sibyl S. McKenzie of Alturas, Florida, Sons Charles J. McDonald of Alturas, FL, James G. McDonald of Marietta, Ga., Sisters Myrtle Chester, Verna Wilson and Ruby Burford all of Jacksonville, 6 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday February 9 at the First Baptist Church of Frostproof with Rev. Lonnie Norris, Rev. Darrol Hood and Rev. Mike Perry officiating. Interment will be held at the Lake Wales Cemetery in Lake Wales, FL. Family will be receiving friends on Sunday February 8 from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. at the Marion Nelson Chapel in Frostproof.
