Lucy was always very proud that she was named for her paternal grandmother, Lucy Brass Bronson, who died at Winter Quarters while crossing the plains. She received her grade schooling at Monticello then attended college at Logan, Utah and Brigham Young University at Provo, Utah.

Lucy became the wife of Franklin Jacob Adams and they came to Blanding to make their home in 1915. This union was a happy one except they were saddened a little because they could have no children.

On October 5, 1940, she received the shocking news of her husband's death. While caring for his cattle he was drowned in White Canyon by a flash flood. From her mother, Marian, she inherited a beautiful voice. This talent she used freely for the enjoyment of her associated wherever she lived. She was also gifted in writing stories and essays. Active always in church she was a member of the choir, singing mothers, teacher in Primary, Stake Board member, and she served on two stake missions. For a time she was a member of the Salt Lake Tabernacle Choir.

For a number of years Lucy tenderly cared for her mother who was in a wheel chair form the effects of her accident. She died at Lucy's home in Blanding, Utah. Only a month before her death, Lucy had completed a trailer court on her lot. She died at the San Juan Hospital, August 24, 1955, after a short illness. She was loved and is missed very much by her family and friends and all who knew her.
