Anna Tedford Brown was the forth child born to John and Mary Hewitt Tedford in May of 1884 in County Armagh, Portadown, Ireland. She was my great aunt and sister to my grandmother Mary Jane Arnold. "Annie," as we called her, had two children named Edwin H and Clayton. Her brothers and sisters were Robert James born 1880, Thomas born in 1882, Mary Jane, born 1886, Letitia, born 1889, Ellen, born 1892, Albert, born 1894 and Alexander born 1896. All of the Tedford children mentioned are resting in East Cemetery along with Anna's parents.

Anna's husband Arthur Edwin Brown was born in Tolland, Connecticut in 1876 and lived 26 years in Glastonbury. He was an engineer for the J.B. Williams Company. He passed away on July 20, 1937.

Aunt Annie was a faithful sister and weekly visitor to my grandmother Mary. Mary with physical limitations was relegated to the home and sister Anna would visit each Sunday, traveling by bus from Farmington, weather permitting. The week was not complete without her visit.

Anna Tedford Brown was my great aunt.
