Death of Mrs. Laura A Ballard
Mrs. Laura A Ballard, 83, died yesterday at the home of her nephew, George O Pierce of Spaulding street. Mrs. Ballard was a native of Ashfield and a widow of Joseph F Ballard of Buckland, where she spent most of her married life. She had lived in Amherst since her husband's death in February. Besides her nephew, she leaves a niece, Mrs. Abbie White of this town. Mrs. Ballard was a member of the Buckland Congregational church. The funeral was held today, with burial in Buckland Monday.

Apr. 28, 1861, Laura Angelia, dau of Zenas and Judith (Smith) Elmer, b. July 4, 1840; d. July 14, 1923 in Amherst; s.p. [without issue].
