Dolly M. Ackerman, 82, of Nampa, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2011, at a local care facility.
Dolly was born September 14, 1928, to parents Harry and Medie (Wooldridge) Dawson and was raised in Missouri.
She married Clarence D. Ackerman "Gene" on June 17, 1945, at Mtn. Grove, Missouri.
Dolly worked at various jobs in the area at Birdseye, Crookhams, Clothes Pin, and Pet Haven as a volunteer but her most well known job was working with her husband Gene furnishing the houses that he built.
Dolly is survived by her son, Gary (Diane) Ackerman of Nampa. Brothers, John Dawson of Missouri; Dallas Dawson of Missouri; Jack Dawson of Missouri; Jerry Dawson of Missouri and Bill Dawson of Arizona. Sisters, Bonnie Meeker of California; Faye Wade of Missouri; Dee Duncan of California and Ida Harper of Missouri. Grandchildren, Nathan (Heather) Ackerman, Nampa; Amber (Jim) Schmidt, Nampa; Brye (Shai) Ackerman, Rainer, Wash. Great-grandchildren Oschan, Skyler, Camden, Hailee and Tanner.
Dolly was preceded in death by her husband Gene of 56 years, her parents, and her brother Clyde Dawson.
