Dorothy was born on July 3, 1931, in Belcourt, the daughter of Phillip and Betsy (Patnaude) Allery. She was educated at St. Ann's Catholic School. She married Maurice "Bunagee" Allick on February 15, 1954. Together they raised and loved all nine of their children on the family homestead at Bunagee Corner.

Dorothy was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved people and taking care of people, especially babies. She always had a big garden and canned her produce, which she always shared with friends and family. She also picked berries and loved to bake and cook. She was always giving people pies and bars. She always fed anyone and everone who came to her home. She was a very devoted and loving mother who was very proud of her children. She enjoyed watching the birds, walks, bingo, quilting, and crafts, her flowers, and occasionally the casino.

Dorothy left her children the greatest gift - love. She will be forever loved and missed, but we know she is at peace with Dad and her mama and papa. She has been wishing to see them for some time.
