Survivors include wife, Folorence Slaven Cecil; daughter, Rebecca McDaniel (Monte); sons, Michael Cecil, Stephen Cecil (Susie); brother, James Cecil; sisters, Delores Montgomery, Duretta Inman (Ronnie), Devona Deese, Delinda Gautney (Robert), Debra Guilleon (Brian); numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family; three grandchildren, Halee Cecil, Amanda and Luke McDaniel; step-grandchildren, Whitney and Ezekiel Jefford.
He was preceded in death by parents, Lonnie Eugene Cecil and Pearl Haynes Cecil; brother, Lowell Cecil; and sister, Denada Pullium.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2011, in Hendryx Mortuary Chapel, 19 E. Main Street, New Palestine. Visitation was held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at the Mortuary.
