Barbara Ellen Harris was born March 12, 1924 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to John M. and Bertha (Partlow) Wilburn. She departed this life Thursday, December 17, 2009 in Bristow at the age of 85 years, 9 months, and 5 days. Barbara had attended Bristow Public schools. She was a seamstress and beautician. She owned and operated the Glamour and Lift beauty shop in Sapulpa for a number of years. She had spent the majority of her youth in Bristow before moving to Sapulpa in 1961. In 2007 she decided to make Bristow her home again.
She was married to Floyd Edgar Harris and spent many happy years together until his passing February 12, 2007. She was a member of the Quilting club at the Sapulpa Senior citizens center and enjoyed sewing, making quilts, and traveling.
She is survived by 4 children: Charles "Eddie" Webb and wife Sue of Welty, Oklahoma. Howard Webb and wife Neva of Depew. John Webb & wife Rhonda of Bristow and Kaye Wright and husband Don of Bristow. 2 step-sons, James Harris & wife Connie of Kellyville, Oklahoma and Walter Harris & wife Kathy of Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband, Homer Isaac Webb (1985), 2nd husband, Floyd Edgar Harris (2007), grandson, Brad Webb, 3 brothers, 1 sister, and 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2PM Monday, December 21, 2009 at the Bristow Advent Christian Church with Reverend Al Hutchings officiating. Interment will follow at the Bristow City Cemetery.
