Bunnell, Florida
Thursday, October 21, 1920
Mrs. Alice Scott Abbott, after a lingering illness of many months and untold suffering, was claimed by the grim reaper shortly after the noon hour today. The end was not unexpected but none the less a shock to Mrs. Abbot's host of friends in Bunnell and Flagler County, and will be deeply regretted in many sections of the United States, for she was widely known as a lecturer in the W.C.T.U. and Woman Suffrage movements during her long and eventful like.
She was loved and respected by everyone who knew her and the sympathies of the entire community goes out to her immediate relatives in their loss.
Funeral arrangements have not at this time been fully completed, but the remains will be interred at the Espanola Cemetery Friday afternoon from the Adventist church, of which she was a devout member.
