Houston - Annie Mae Bowen, 68, passed away on Friday, May 8, 1998 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, May 14 at St. Matthew M B Church with Pastor Levon Kinard officiating.
Burial followed at Pleasant Grove Church Cemetery in Buena Vista. Westbrooks Memorial Chapel of Aberdeen handled the arrangements.
Survivors include six sons, Anthony Bowen of Houston, Oliver Nelson of Jackson, Marvis Brown of Cleveland, Charles Nelson of Okolona, Calvin Brown of Jackson and Bobby Brown of Norfold, Va.; five daughters, Vernie Boston of Houston, Savon Johnson of Houston, Joyce Richardson of Okolona, Loyce Bowen of Atlanta, Ga., and Alice Sherill Ross of Albany, Ga.; two sisters, Odelia Boyce of Como and Alcey L Walton of Como and 18 grandchildren.
