Littie Viola Gamble was born in Adair, Oklahoma that was then known as Indian Territory in northeastern Oklahoma. The married John Monroe Moore in 1866. He is buried next to her. Littie died of pneumonia/influenza. She and her husband John had six children: Loy, Vernie, Alpha James, Sylvia, Alma and Mary Lorene.
