He was born at Cambridgeport, Vermont, Aug. 1, 1825. He married Mrs. Mary Ann Bolles on Nov. 21, 1855. He lived in St. Charles and Elmhurst, Ill. The family moved to Turner, Ill. in 1857. His wife died in 1884 and in Sept. of 1885 he married Mrs. Minnie Thayer of Braintree, Mass. He died on January 26 of this year at the residence of his step-daughter, Mrs. Delia I. Davis, at Windsor, Vt. He left no direct issue. Funeral was held at the M. E. church at Turner, Jan. 29, 1886, with the Rev. Dr. Manderville, officiating.
