Brenda Nadene Arnold, 59, Alma, died Feb. 24, 2011 at her home.

She was born Jan. 5, 1952 in Salem, IL, the daughter of Richard Leo & Nadene Smith Johnson. She married Theodore "Ted" Arnold on April 19, 1970 in Irvington.

She was an assistant bookkeeper for South Central School Direct 401, and was a member of the Alma United Methodist Church. She graduated from Eastern Ill. University with high honors.

Survivors include her husband; father, Richard Leo Johnson; sons, Theron Daniel, Mark Richard, & Jason Reed Arnold; brothers, Charles & John Johnson; sisters, Marian Johnson, Connie Githindi, Karen Smith, Barbara Welch, Sharon Johnson, and Linda Brimberry; and 12 grandchildren.

Preceding her in death was her mother.

Services were held at Alma United Methodist Church with burial in Alma Cemetery. Neal Funeral Home in Kinmundy was in charge of arrangements.
