Virginia "Lola" Gravely, 70, of Brevard, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 17, 2004, at her residence.

She was a lifelong resident of Transylvania County. Lola was a loving and devoted wife and mother of three children.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Gravely of Brevard; two sons, Garry Banther and wife, Kim, of Lake Toxaway and Ron Banther and wife, Pam, of Lake Toxaway; daughter, Diane Rice and husband, Ricky, of Brevard; three brothers, L.C. Owen and Leonard Owen of Brevard and Craig Kilpatrick of Hendersonville; three sisters, Grace Galloway of Kernersville, Frances Leopard of Rosman and Leona Kilpatrick of Edneyville; seven grandchildren, Shannon Banther, Brett Banther, Kyle Rice, Daniel Perry, Jennifer Bates, Brooke Banther and Kayla Rice; and great-grandson, Cole Holcomb.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Moody-Connolly Funeral Home with the Revs. Tommy Owen and Charles Pierson officiating. Burial will follow in Pisgah Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
