Robert Leon Bland, 94, of Leitchfield, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2001, at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.
A native of Hardin County, he served on the Leitchfield City Council and Utilities Commission. He was a member of Leitchfield Lodge #236 F&AM and the Leitchfield United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hardy and Anna Avery Bland; his wife, Ruth Robinson Bland; a son, Robert Bland; and a brother, Homer Bland.
Survivors include two sisters, Wilma Patterson and Pauline Boyd, both of Elizabethtown; and three granddaughters, Lori Bland Manus, Beth Bland Day and Julie Bland Pyrdum, all of Nashville, Tenn.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Central time Thursday at Watson and Hunt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in Leitchfield Memory Gardens.
Visitation is from 1 to 4 p.m. Central time and 6 to 8 p.m. Central time today at the funeral home.
