Mary More Benno, 79, passed away March 22, 2010, in Henderson. She was born Feb. 26, 1931, in Fargo, N.D. Mary grew up in Fargo and Minot, N.D., and graduated from NDSU. She and her husband, Bob, met in North Dakota, but were married and lived 50 years in southern California, where she taught school in Brea, Calif., prior to the birth of her first son, David. She worked in her husband's family-owned drug store and practiced as a licensed real estate agent. She relocated to Henderson in 2006. She loved fashion, the arts, gardening, traveling, reading and her family. She was a very elegant woman. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Benno; and son, David Benno. She is survived by her son, Donald Benno; brother, Bill More; sister, Joan Montgomery; granddaughter, Leah Sullivan; great-granddaughter, Emery Sullivan; and nieces. Services were previously held Sunday, March 28, in Fullerton, Calif.
