Sidney was born in Pensacola and lived with
his parents until they were divorced.His
mother moved to San Diego,CA and she took
Sidney and his brother Michael with her.
Sidney enlisted in the Marines 14 April 1965,
at a Los Angeles Recruiting Office.
He left for boot camp 19 April 1965 graduated
with Platoon 226 from the San Diego MCRD.
Upon arriving in Vietnam he was assigned to
India Company,3rd Battalion,5th Marine
Regiment,1st Marine Division.Sidney died of
multiple gunshot wounds penetrating the lower
anterior abdomen,right thigh and leg from
hostile small arms fire in the vicinity of
Razorback Ridge(Hill 362),12 kilometers west
of Cam Lo,during Operation Hastings.
Tour of duty unknown.
Survived by his mother;Jo Ann Ault and his
brother,Michael D Malone of 5626 Chandler Dr,
San Diego,CA and his father,Sidney Malone Sr
of 415 Fairfax,Penscola,FL.
