Funeral services were held 3 p.m., Sunday, March 31, 2002. Graveside services were held at Norway Cemetery in Norway, S.C. THOMPSON FUNERAL HOME, INC., ORANGEBURG, S.C., was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Argoe was born December 22, 1935, in Orangeburg County, a daughter of the late Harry Free and Olivette Phin Free. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Argoe was a graduate of Norway High School.
Survivors include, husband, Hampton A. Argoe of Isle of Palms; three daughters, Mrs. Daniel (Rhonda) Peterson, Mrs. Dean (Sherry) Lowder, both of Isle of Palms, and Mrs. Ronald (Robin) Rickter, Jr., of Folly Beach; son, Jonathan A. Argoe of Isle of Palms; sister, Sara Hope Rodgers of Greenville; two brothers, Phin Free of Florence and Sandy Free of Orangeburg; three grandchildren, Morgan Lowder, Logan Lowder, and Jay Argoe all of Isle of Palms; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation was Sunday, March 31, 2002, from 1:30 to 2:15 p.m., at THOMPSON FUNERAL HOME in Orangeburg.
