Booneville - Claude Campbell, age 58, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2011 at the Owsley County Health Care Center in Booneville, Kentucky.
Claude was born in Oneida, KY on March 27th, 1952, the son of the late Edgar and Opal (Marshall) Campbell. He was disabled and a former member of the Owsley County Fire and Rescue Squad, a loyal fan of University of Kentucky Basketball, Cincinnati Reds Baseball, and NASCAR. He was a member of the Elk Lick Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by 3 brothers, Roy (Janice) Campbell, Bill (Faye) Campbell, both of Booneville, KY, Elmo (Nola) Campbell of Lexington, KY, 2 sisters Ruthie (Raymond) Smith of Booneville, KY, and Cleda Bishop of Covington, KY, and a host of Nieces, Nephews, relatives and friends.
Claude was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 brothers, Doug and Wallace Campbell.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, January 3rd, 2011, at the Booneville Funeral Home, with Pastor David Combs officiating. Visitation will be Sunday January 2nd, 2011, 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Claude will be laid to rest in the Griffith Cemetery,in Booneville, KY, with the Booneville Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
