He is survived by his wife, Karen Ann; and a son, Grant. His parents are Robert E. and Dora Kathryn Harshbarger of Daleville. He also leaves a sister, Kathryn H. Overfelt, and their son, Nicholas, of Cary, N.C.
David was a graduate of Roanoke College and an employee of the General Services Administration in Washington, D.C. Local arrangements by Oakey's North Chapel.
