Merrow, John D.
Passed away suddenly Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 12,1971, at his home. Age 72 years. He was born Oct. 12, 1899, in Sagianw and had lived here all of his life. He married Alberta V. Mattson here Jan.7, 1922. She survives him. He was employed at the Chevrolet Grey Iron Foundry for about 30 years, retiring in 1961. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I. He was a member of the former Fordney Baptist Church for many years and after it's closing had been a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Pioneer Lodge No. 79, F & AM and the Bay City Consistory.
Surviving besides his wife are one son, Jack Edward Merrow, Gladwin; five grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren.
Funeral....burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery.....
