All Her Life
Mrs. Julia A. Baugher, aged 94 years, said to be Rockingham's oldest resident, died early Monday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Bettie E. Powell, at Beldor. She was born in 1832 and spent practically her entire life in the part of the county where she passed away.
Until last November, when she became ill, Mrs. Baugher, had enjoyed good health and her friends marveled at her vitality. She was regarded by all who knew her as a most remarkable woman. Mrs. Baugher fell into a stupor last Saturday evening and she never regained consciousness.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at two o'clock from the Powell home, the Rev. J. W. Stearn, of the Elkton U. B. Church, officiating. Interment will be in the family cemetery near Beldor.
Mrs. Baugher leaves two daughters - Mrs. Powell and Mrs. D. C. Davis; one son - A. E. Wyant, of Beldor; and two sisters - Mrs. John Maiden, of Bridgewater, and Mrs. Annie C. Davis, of Washington.
Surviving also are 29 grandchildren and 11 of the fourth generation.
