Mrs. Catherine Baker, wife of Edward Baker of Vina, died Tuesday morning at 10:55 at the family home following an illness of several weeks. The deceased was born June 14, 1847 in Missouri, but for many years had been a resident of this section.
Besides her husband the deceased is survived by four children, Mrs. R.L. Tattar [sic: Tarter] of Chico; Mrs. P.J. Schaumburg of Portland, Ore.; Mrs. Charles Ruffa and Joseph E. Baker of Vina; two sisters, Mrs. J.C. Craven of Fresno and Mrs. Martha Tucker of Monterey.
Funeral services will be conducted under the direction of Bicknell & Moore from the family home Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be made in the Vina cemetery.
