Graveside services for Joanne B. Tankersley were held Thursday in Myrtle Cemetery with the Rev. Johnny Mansell officiating under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary.

Joanne's maiden name is King; she was born in Fort Fairfield, Maine. She was the youngest of 12 children. She was married to William E. Haisler II and William (Bill) Tankersley. She had 7 children: William III, Nolan, Rose, Joan, June, Rita, Raven. Joanne had 19 grandchildren. She is also survived by one great-grandson, Ari Richardson. She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 grandson, Tommy L. Richardson in 1980. (Thanks to Joyce for this additional information.)
