James G. Raymond, age 47, of Bolingbrook passed away Thursday, February 3, 2011 after a long and hard fought battle with lung cancer. Jim, known by most as 'Bones', began his battle with lung cancer in late 2009.

Jim was a Metra engineer who loved his job and trains. He worked for Metra since 1997, running trains on the Milwaukee District, Rock Island District and most recently with the SouthWest Service.

He will be sorely missed by this co-workers, friends and passengers. He is survived by his devoted wife, Sherry; he is the loving son of James W. and Patricia (Russ) Raymond; dearest brother of Andrew (Jill) and Laura Raymond; dear son-in-law of Walt and Nancy Kaczmarek; fond nephew, cousin and friend to many.

He also loved his dogs Wilbur and Harvey.

Visitation: Saturday, February 12, 2011 from 12 noon till 9:00 p.m. at Ivins/Moravecek Funeral Home 80 E. Burlington St. Riverside. Casual attire welcome.
