Born in Somers Point, Becky has been a lifelong Cape May area resident. She was formerly employed by the Cape May ACME; Collective Federal Bank, Rio Grande and most recently retired from the Cape May County Special Service School District in 2004 after 17 years of service.
Becky was a devoted member of the South Seaville United Methodist Church where she was a Past President of the Women's Society. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Cape May Chapter #156. She also belonged to the Lower Township Senior Center where she enjoyed sewing, quilting, ceramics, crocheting and other crafts.
Becky will be sadly missed by her family which includes her husband of 55 years, Lewis R. Bailey, Sr.; children, Diane (and George) Cooper, Lewis, Jr. (and Gail), James (and Debbie), Lorna (and Cheyenne) Hawk and Joseph (and Andy). She was affectionately known as "MeMom" by her 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Becky is also survived by her many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held 1pm Saturday (Jan. 22nd) in the South Seaville United Methodist Church, 115 Corson Tavern Rd., South Seaville where there will be a viewing from 11am until the time of the service. Interment will follow in the Tabernacle Cemetery, Lower Township.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the South Seaville United Methodist Church, PO Box 158, South Seaville, NJ 08246.
