Fredrick Anton Dissen (aka F.A., Anton, Anthony) was born in Duesseldorf, Germany. He immigrated to the US in 1884 and settled in Missouri. He became a Naturalized citizen in 1889. On November 13, 1894 he married Elizabeth Frank. They had 3 children together – Bernard Albert (Bennie), Helen M (Lena) and Henry Bernard. He was trained to be a teacher before he came to the US and did teach for a period of time at the Visitation School in Vienna, Missouri as well as a few other locations in Cole and Maries counties. He passed away in Jackson, Maries, Missouri.
