Kansas Grand Master, February 21, 1889 to February 20, 1890.
At the age of four, George Kenyon's family moved to New York City, where he attended public schools. In 1859, after the death of his father, he moved to Illinois where he enlisted as a private in the U.S. Army in 1861. He was mustered out as a Captain at the close of the war. He moved to Kansas, first residing in Topeka where he was in the dry goods business. He became a Mason in Orient Lodge No. 51, on July 10, 1868. After moving to Abilene, Kansas, he dimitted to Benevolent Lodge No. 98 on November 12, 1875. He served as Master in 1881 and 1882. Several years prior to his death he had moved to Seattle, Washington.
