The funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at the Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Doug Zurek officiating. Interment will be in the Roselawn Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, at the Gass Haney Funeral Home and on Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church, with a family prayer service at 10:15 a.m. Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church
Mildred Brandt was born Feb. 27, 1912, in rural Lindsay, to Andrew and Lauretta (Johnson) Christensen. She was baptized on April 14, 1912, and confirmed on Sept. 12, 1926, at Bethany Lutheran Church, rural Lindsay. She attended country school in Lindsay. On Jan. 27, 1932, Mildred was united in marriage to Raymond Brandt. Mildred was a homemaker and did house cleaning to help earn money to raise the family. She enjoyed flowers, doing embroidery work, sewing for her granddaughters, and an undevoted love for children. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Columbus.
Mildred is survived by her daughter, Mary Lee Buls, of Seward; grandchildren, Kandy, Laurie, and Cindy; daughter-in-law, Jeanne Brandt, of Port Hueneme, Calif.; grandchildren, Kevin and Jean; daughter-in-law, Corleita Brandt, of Carrollton, Texas; grandchildren, Darin, Brian, Kimberly, and Nicole; 22 great-grandchildren; 29 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Doris Westman, of Omaha; sister, Evelyn Reese, of Omaha; sister-in-law, Dorothy Brandt, of Columbus; and sister-in-law, Irene Christensen, of Columbus.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Lauretta Christensen; husband, Raymond Brandt; sons, Keith and Gayle Brandt; grandsons, Danny Buls and Jeffrey Brandt; great-granddaughter, Lisa Leazer; sister, Carrie Christensen; brothers, Elmer, Reynold, Carl, and Leland Christensen.
