Paul T. "Butch" Dale of Jamestown died June 23, 2002 at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon. He was 82. Born Jan. 6, 1920, in North Salem, he was a son of the late William Isaac and Alma Fern (Scott) Dale. He was the widower of Arlene L. Martin. Mr. Dale was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having served as a medical corpsman in the Red Bull Division. He was a life-long farmer and had worked several years at William H. Block Company in Indianapolis before retiring in 1982. He was a member of Jamestown American Legion, 40&8 and the Purdue University President's Council.
Survivors include a son, Alvin L. Dale of Florida; daughters Rochelle L. Dale Zender of Michigan and Wilma F. Puckett of Pendleton; sisters Juanita Carney of Noblesville and Freda Norman of Danville; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also preceding him in death was a son, Paul Martin Dale.
Services were June 26 at Porter Funeral Home in Jamestown with John Nolan officiating. Interment was at Old Union Cemetery in Boone County.
