Barbara Maier was born May 22, 1939, in Saginaw, the daughter of the late Coriean (Dey) and Aloysius O. Maier. She graduated from St. Andrew High School. She married Raymond C. Gotham Sr. on April 20, 1968; he survived her.
She was a devoted member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Albee Township, a member of its choir, and a Catechism teacher. She had been a member of T.O.P.S. She was an avid bowler and was in bowling leagues at State Lanes and Stardust Bowl, and served as league treasurer. She was very involved in her childrens' lives and was a member of the P.T.A. in their younger years. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and all her family.
Surviving Barbara Gotham were her husband, Raymond Gotham; four sons and spouses, Raymond C. Gotham Jr., Leonard E. and Roxanne G. Gotham, Mark A. and Stephanie L. Gotham, Eric H. M. and Tara M. Gotham; fifteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four brothers, four sisters and their spouses, Lerman and Connie George, Ann and William Dinninger, Gary and Marilyn George, Coriean and Felix "Butch" Burgoyne, Connie and Michael Lazzaro, Steven and Kathleen George, Richard and Melinda George, Rita and Steven Franks; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; many nieces and nephews, two aunts, several cousins, and other family members.
She was predeceased by one granddaughter; four brothers, Elmer and Leonard Maier, Harold and Michael George; several aunts and uncles, especially Harold and Dorothy George.
