"Mrs J.P. Shupe died at her home in the west part of town last Monday morning at two o'clock, of a complication of diseases, and after an illness of about two weeks duration. Her age was about forty-eight years and was the mother of 16 children of whom survive her. The funeral was held Tuesday at two o'clock at the Christian Church, conducted by Rensselaer.
