ALBERTO M. AGUIAR JR., 72, of Maynard Street, a cleaning supervisor, died Friday at Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence, after an illness of two weeks. He was the husband of Nelia (Aguiar) Aguiar. Born in the Azores, Portugal, a son of the late Alberto M. DeAguiar Sr. and Maria M. (Alves) DeAguiar, he came to this country 34 years ago, settling in Pawtucket. Mr. Aguiar was a supervisor at Rhode Island Cleaning Services, Lincoln, for 12 years, until his illness. Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Dale and Frank Aguiar, both of Pawtucket; a daughter, Nelia Lawton of Barrington; three sisters, Elvira Furtado, Lucy Aguiar and Maria Linhares, and a brother, Joseph Aguiar, all in California; and five grandchildren.

The funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from Manning-Heffern Funeral Home, 68 Broadway, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Joseph Church, Walcott Street. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. ---Providence Journal, Rhode Island
