Lena, the wife of Herbert Baker, apparently died of Eclampsia, which is fatal if not treated beforehand. However, in the late 1800's it was a disease not known about that well and women who had it would usually die in childbirth. Their baby was often so very stressed that they might also die at birth. Lena and her daughter were buried together at Cave Hill Cemetery on Oct 20th, 1898, Louisville, Jefferson Co., Kentucky in the Baker plot.
