Mrs. Beatrice Green Collier, 57, of Dallas, Texas, formerly of Hillsboro, passed away Monday, Jan. 17, 2011, at a Dallas hospital. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, at Believers Cathedral in Hillsboro with burial at Ridge Park Cemetery. A wake will be 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at McDowell Funeral Home in Hillsboro.

Beatice Green Collier was born in Hillsboro, Texas to the parents of Melvin and Joris Green. She graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1972. She was employed at (TDCJ) Texas Department of Criminal Justice for 15 years.

She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Green; sister Faye Doris Green; three brothers, Lester Custer, Leonard Green, and Melvin Green, Jr.

Beatrice leaves to cherish her memories: her mother Joris Green; daughter Nicolette (Arthur) Newman; devoted friend Robert Urguhart; eight brothers, Joseph Green, Kenneth Green, Jimmy Green, Arthur (Otha B.) Green, Ricky (Cheryl) Green, Johnny Green, James Lloyd Moore, and Larry Custer; five sisters, Marilyn (Willis) Jones, Romona Green, Michelle Hobart, Carolyn Moore, and Diane Moore; two grandchildren, Alaysha Newman and Arrington Newman; and host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
