*THANK YOU Dale Bennion for adding her stone-

Family lore indicates that Charity died from consumption, and is buried in a farmer’s field in Stella Missouri. Unknown is why were Abraham and Charity in Missouri as their home was in Kansas. One Hundred thirty three years later, it is discovered that his second wife (Sarah T McDonald)’s grandfather, a minister of the gospel, was getting married in Newton, Missouri after his first wife had passed away. This then accounts for the McDonald’s family of Tennessee being in Newton County, Tennessee. It has also been discovered that Sarah T McDonald’s uncle (John William McDonald) had gotten married in Crawford County, Kansas in 1874 and they undoubtedly went to his father’s wedding. The grandfather James Russell’s wedding, was on Sept 2, 1877. The Hunsickers and the McDonalds of Crawford County must have traveled on the same Stagecoach to Newton County, Missouri. It was 12 days after the wedding that Charity died. The McDonald and the Russell family must have befriended Abraham and his 3 children, as Abraham ended up marrying Sarah six months later.
