Captain Albert Levesque, Woonsocket Fire Department, became ill shortly before 11 a.m. while on duty at Station 4 on South Main St. He was taken home, 27 Franklin St., where he died shortly after.

Captain Levesque, the son of Salime Levesque and Delia Gouin was the husband of Florida Burnelle.

He had joined the fire department in 1918 and made captain in 1931.

Captain Levesque received a full fireman's funeral with all off-duty fireman including, Chief Cotes attending.

He was survived by his wife, father, 3 sons, 5 daughters and a brother. A son, Rene, was also with the fire department.
