James (Jimmy) G. A'Hearn, 71, a lifelong resident of Danbury, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 26, 2003 at Yale New Haven Hospital after a long illness. He was born February 16, 1932 in Sharon, Conn. and was predeceased by his parents Jeremiah O'Hearn and Ethel Daley of Pawling, New York. He retired in 1996 after working for Danbury Hospital for 36 years as a laundry room supervisor. He is survived by his wife Patricia A'Hearn of Danbury; sister, Elizabeth Sherman of Grandville, Vermont; and brother, Jerry O'Hearn of Dover Plains, N.Y.; three children, Kathleen Huntington and her husband Robert Huntington of Danbury, Virginia A. Anderson of Danbury, David A'Hearn and his wife Jennifer A'Hearn of New Milford; and former wife, Ruth A'Hearn of Danbury; five grandchildren, Tricia Loya and her husband and Eric Loya of New Fairfield, Tanisha and William Anderson, both of Danbury, Cassandra and Cory A'Hearn of New Milford; four great-grandchildren; five stepchildren and two step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was the former President of Danbury chapter of the National Federation of the Blind. He will be deeply missed by family and friends. Calling hours are Monday, April 28, 2003 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury.
